On the 1st February 2014 The Food & Agricultural Organisation started their 2nd round of technical discussion to finalise the International Guidelines on Small-scale Fisheries. These guidelines will provide critical approaches for how governments should approach the management of the small-scale fishery together with small-scale fishing communities. This document provides an update on the first round of negotiations held in Italy, in May 2013.
